Holiday Weekend

This weekend we were able to get away and take a trip Sonoma, about an hour's drive from where we live. Luckily, the weather was really warm so we were able to dust off Hana's swimsuit and take her in the pool. Hana trying to be serious (while dressed as a duck)
Hana needs some sun!
We were able to have a really nice meal and Hana behaved the whole time, as long as she had food to keep her busy. Bad decision to let her have a little taste of our dessert-she was up 2 hours after her bedtime!

Right next to out hotel was a Japanese restaurant named Hana so we couldn't resist this picture
While driving through Sonoma, we discovered this place called Train Town and had to take Hana for a ride. It was really fun and even included a little stop at a petting zoo.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Harmony and I took Hana to her check-up at the doctor's office today. She only gained 1 lb 2 0z in the past three months which was so surprising to us because she eats sooo much. But he assured us that her height to weight ratio is perfect :) Momma bought Hana a special Valentine's Day outfit that she thought Daddy would love! 'Daddy's Lil Valentine'
In this picture, I called Daddy to see what time he would be home so I could figure when I should start cooking dinner. Hana took the phone from my hands and before I knew it, she was standing on her own for the first time! I thought it was a fluke so we tried it again and I was able to catch a picture and she even took a step. I still think we have a lot of time before she is going to walk, hopefully!
Daddy got Hana a stuffed pink talking hippo. I saw it and thought that the last thing Hana needed was another stuffed animal! With her favorite toys she smiles, hugs them, rests her head on them and crosses her legs. Out of her many toys, there are only a few that she shows this same affection towards and it's usually after playing with them for a while. So upon first seeing this pink hippo, she showed all the affectionate signs immediately and I think that made it the best Valentine's Day ever for Daddy!
The three of them sharing that special moment! Daddy picked the perfect thing this time!
And for Momma's Valentine's gift-Daddy booked us a surprise getaway to Sonoma County (wine country) After spending the month of January inside due to his appendectomy, this is a family getaway that is much needed and will be much appreciated-we can't wait!!

random pictures

Some recent photos of Hana...
This was taken at the beehive at Frontierland Park-Hana was checking out a fellow hapa baby. When Hana was younger, pictures of her sleeping were my favorite. I haven't taken any recently so I took another one tonight. Aside from how peaceful she looks, I love pictures of her sleeping because she looks different than when she is awake-those cheeks are chubbier at night!
This outfit totally makes Hana look like a tomboy but it was on sale at Old Navy for $0.97-can't beat that price!!
Anything is a toy to Hana, even her prescription diaper rash medication (which she hasn't needed for 3 months!) Because Hana has been layered in clothing due to the cold weather, we love bath days when we can really see what her arms and legs look like!
This picture was taken on Saturday at 8:45 pm (umm... her bedtime is 8:00 p.m.!!) She was having too much fun playing with Momma and Daddy so she forced herself to stay awake even though it is quite obvious that she is very tired. We think she thought the tree was Momma;)
Due to the cold winter weather, Hana's feet are constantly covered with socks. On rare occasions, we let her go sock-free for a bit. We love how cute her feet are and don't think we get to see them enough-we can't wait for spring and warmer weather! A picture of Hana playing in Daddy's office (the warmest room in the house). The hair is getting longer-yay!!

Where's Hana?!

Hana loves to eat so much that she is always sneaking into the kitchen, hoping that she might get a snack! One day I went in to look for her and couldn't find her at first-she was hiding under our table!!
