This weekend we spent some time at the beach. Hana loved playing in the sand with her new shovel and bucket. It was such a relaxing time that we almost felt like we were away on vacation.
When we've taken Hana to the beach before, she has always resisted getting in the water because it's so cold. Surprisingly, she let us dip her toes in. She ended up loving it and the three of us frolicked in the waves. So much fun! She got so adventurous that she wanted to dive right in but we only let the water get up to her knees. Even with chattering teeth, she didn't want to stop splashing so we let her keep playing with a towel wrapped around her. We are so proud when she tries new things!

Bump Watch
I am 27 weeks pregnant and just started showing this week, lucky me!! I thought I'd be bigger this time around but that isn't the case. Kevin loves my pregnant belly and is thrilled that I am showing. He insisted on taking pictures. Since I am vain, these will probably be the only pregnant pictures to be posted...until week 40, maybe! While Hana is taller than most kids her age, this picture reminds me how little she really is compared to us.

Central Park
As we promised her, we took Hana to a new park on Saturday. We went to Central Park in San Mateo. I hadn't been there in years and Kevin and Hana had never been. It was so fun!
They had a little train and Hana insisted on going for a ride. She kept calling the train Thomas! Since Kevin probably weighs less than me at this point, I let him ride with her ;)
And I insisted on getting the sno-cones that the train conductor was selling, yummy!
Hana actually stopped to pose with me by the flowers. She had to wear a dress, even though we were going to the park. She doesn't seem to like her jeans much these days and is very opinionated about her outfits already!!

4th of July
We started our day with breakfast at Denny's and headed to Frontierland Park for their festivities. They had a live band that Hana loved. She actually stopped playing on the slides and wanted to lay down and listen to the music. Very relaxing!
The highlight of the day were the (legal and safe) fireworks that we bought and lit on the street. Hana had a front row street from our driveway.
She loved watching the fireworks and would cheer and sing as the sparks flew. Though it was foggy and wet, it was still a good show.
Thanks to Daddy for lighting them all!!
Hana was so excited about the fireworks that she needed some time to unwind and didn't get to bed until midnight!!
