We had some more awesome weather today and headed towards Golden Gate Park. Typically, I am not spontaneous at all and will not leave a dirty house behind until it is absolutely clean but I am adjusting. Family time is a bit more important than a clean house :)
Now, time for an endorsement, I think. With Hana, I absolutely loved our Baby Bjorn and didn't realize that there might be better carriers out there. I only used the Bjorn for a few months before Hana, sadly, outgrew it. However, when I was pregnant again, I noticed all these mommas using this Ergo carrier I'd never noticed before.
I had to get myself one. And I LOVE it! It is awesome, easy to use, feels great on my back, Alaina loves it, and I can use it much longer than 4 months.
Oh little Alaina, riding on Hana's elephant toy. For some reason, the word 'heffalump' makes Alaina laugh so hard and we think it is the cutest thing ever.

Snow Trip
We spent this past weekend in Tahoe with our friends Mike and Marie. We decided to drive up a night earlier while the girls were sleeping and stayed at the Cal Neva Resort. I've been going to Tahoe a few times a year ever since I was a kid and it is still one of my favorite places ever.
This was the view from our room.
The first time we took Hana to the snow was a couple of years ago when she was too young to play. It snowed quite a bit on Sunday and Hana loved playing in it. She also loved wearing my boots and maneuvered in them quite well.
We rented the same cabin we stayed in in 2007. It was just as modern & luxurious as we remembered. But now that we are 4 adults and 2 kids, we've outgrown this cozy two bedroom cabin and will need a bigger place next year.
Little Alaina had a great time as well though I didn't take her outside for very long.

Alaina's 100th Day
Keeping with Korean tradition, we celebrated Alaina's 100th day of life on January 17th. We had great food and a great time celebrating her.
Of course, we already feel like she is growing too quickly. We are glad to be through the sleepless nights and she enjoys an amazing 10.5 straight hours of sleep a night. Alaina's personality is really developing. She is generally happy, mellow baby but when she gets mad - watch out! She will yell, not cry, but yell at us when things don't go her way. We think it's funny.
Thank you Auntie Penny for Alaina's pretty dress!
I loved the chance to use the good china!

A Winter Beach Visit
We were so excited to take Peggy & Jaina to one of our favorite places - the beach - on Sunday. What a nice surprise when it turned out to be 72 degrees! Had we known it would be so warm, we might've put the girls in clothes better suited for playing in the surf.
Kevin was so lucky to be stuck in a house with these 5 girls all week ;)
We had a great time playing in the sand and dipping our toes in the cold ocean. It felt like summer!

SF Zoo
I love zoos and insisted that we take Peggy and Jaina to the zoo while they were here. Alaina was a good sport all day, though I was a little tired from all the walking with her in the Baby Bjorn. She is much heavier than Hana was!
A rare family photo. Although it is sunny out, we are all looking a little pale since we've been indoors all winter!
The sisters.

Happy New Year
Kevin and I were up late last night and were looking forward to a quiet day today. We were ambushed this morning by two sick girls. Hana came into our bed at 5 am. Alaina's been sleeping until 9 am lately but she was up at 7 am. She threw up 3 times after she ate this morning. Her puffy eyes, runny nose and whimpering cries make me so sad. Hana has had more colds this season than she has had in her whole life. Today's been nutty but hopefully not an indication of how 2009 will be!
Poor little Alaina
