Swing!

We took Hana to Frontierland Park because
it had swings. Of course, she loved them! Mama had to interrupt the swinging for a photo op
Daddy claimed to have enough strength to push Hana on the swing but Mama & Hana still think that he needs to take more time to recover.

Snow Trip

The weekend after New Year's we spent a long weekend in Tahoe. We rented a cabin with our good friends Mike and Marie. Kevin went snowboarding for the first time. Thankfully, Mike used to be a snowboard instructor and was patient enough to show Kevin the ropes. Relaxing by the fire
Here is a picture of the cabin we rented, taken from the hot tub. The cabin was awesome and we can't wait to go back!
While Kevin, Mike & Marie braved the cold to go snowboarding, Hana and I played in the cabin. Hana explored everywhere that she could.

Then we decided to go out and see the snow. Mommy bought Hana this adorable snowsuit for the trip. But apparently Hana didn't like it as much as Mommy did.
But then she got used to it.
This picture looks like a precious father-daughter moment but in actuality, this was taken while Hana was clawing at his face and pulling his hair. She likes to play aggressively sometimes.
Look at the little cub I found in the snow!

Just a day in the park

So we usually spend the weekends indoors, playing with Hana, getting the house clean and staying warm since the weather this past month has been extremely cold. (40 degrees for CA is brutal!!) Now that she is more active, we decided to take her to the park to play. We have a park one street over from us (Imperial park) that we have been to but it is very basic. We took Hana to Fairmont Park, which is connected to Mama's elementary school where she and Hana's samchuns (uncles) attended and is walking distance from our house. The park was okay yet did not have any swings! Mama recalls that back in the day Fairmont Park was quite modern and had swings that Hana would've loved-though that was years ago and times do change!! But we still liked to think that she had fun anyway. (Note-Daddy is not in any of these pictures because he was barely mobile. It was merely days after his emergency appendectomy and being photographer of our excursion was barely all he could handle-poor Kevin)
Hana standing on the playground, trying to figure out where she is.
Trying to be stylish by trying on Mama's sunglasses.

New Year's Eve

This New Year's Eve was a bit uneventful since Hana and Mama were both sick. We did have a suite at the Crowne Plaza Union Square so at least we were able to spend the evening in a great room with a nice view. It was a nice change of scenery from our living room.
Hana, living the posh life
Do we look as sick as we feel??
Our sassy little girl striking a pose. Where did she learn this?
What is Hana doing up at 11 pm?! Her grandparents and uncle stopped by so she had to wake up and say hi!

Playtime

Our friends Troy & Heather, who live in Kansas, were in town last week. Hana had the opportunity to play with their son Luke, who is almost 2. Seeing her next to him reminded us that she's still a baby! We're not so sure that we are comfortable with little boys holding Hana's hand but she did reach for him first ;)!
