On Saturday we went to a Kyson's first birthday party at Lemos Farms in Half Moon Bay. This is a picture we took on the train ride.
Hana has a new fear of carousel horses and I was wondering if she'd be too scared to ride a pony. She loved it! So she's okay with live horses but fake ones make her cry :)
Since we were going to HMB anyway for the party, we decided to spend the night there. We stayed at the Oceano Hotel & Spa, which just opened back in November. The hotel was amazing and I am glad we decided on this last minute indulgence. Though we weren't very far from home, it was still a nice getaway. 
The weather was great and we enjoyed a nice dinner outside at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and then went for a walk along the harbor.
Kevin was nice enough to drive a few miles to pick up McDonald's for breakfast since I really wanted some of their hash browns. We were so disappointed to discover that they forgot to pack them! 
On our way home, we stopped to see the tidepools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Hana got to throw rocks in the water and then we showed her some hermit crabs and sea anenomes. What a fun weekend we had!
