Last week was yet another sick week for our household. Hana was sicker than I've ever seen her and Alaina was weak & feverish all week too. It was an exhausting week and we didn't leave the house from Wednesday until Sunday. We needed a getaway and chose to stay at a local hotel (only 15 miles away) on Sunday night mostly because of its indoor swimming pool.
Hana hadn't been in a pool for a while and it was Alaina's first time. Alaina loved being in the water!!!

Hana went to the pool twice on Sunday and once on Monday morning. On Monday, we decided to let her 'swim' alone while we watched. Her Hello Kitty floaties were perfect and she was quite content to jump and float in the pool all by herself.
It's always nice to get away and we love hotel stays, no matter how close to home they are. The best part about these local getaways is that they are pretty relaxing yet our travel time is so short. We were home in 20 minutes!
