We Found It!

Hana is fascinated by fire trucks, garbage trucks and sometimes buses. It's not only boys who appreciate such fine machinery on wheels! Every time a fire truck goes by, Hana tells us to "go find it". Well the other weekend we found one and checked it out up close. Thank you to the fireman who offered to take this picture of us! My workplace is at the foot of the fire in Brisbane. It's been crazy watching the fire vehicles drive down the steep mountain and watching the helicopters fly into the huge plumes of smoke. Firemen all over CA are working hard to put out these wildfires and we commend them for their hard work and hope that they do their jobs safely.

Room For Two

We bought Hana a new toddler bed and rearranged her room to accommodate it. I was lucky to find some bedding at Pottery Barn Kids that complements the current decor of the room. We weren't sure if Hana would like her bed but she loves it and has slept soundly in it ever since its arrival last week. The first time we put her in it was for an afternoon nap. We waited around to watch what she would do and she told us "Go away!" and fell right asleep.
Hana never spent much time in her room and neither did we. Now that "new bed" has arrived, the room has a much cozier feel and we have been hanging out in her room more. Hard to believe there will be two little girls sharing that room in a matter of time! Now when Hana sees the crib she say "Baby sister go nite nite".

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday we went to a Kyson's first birthday party at Lemos Farms in Half Moon Bay. This is a picture we took on the train ride.Hana has a new fear of carousel horses and I was wondering if she'd be too scared to ride a pony. She loved it! So she's okay with live horses but fake ones make her cry :)
Since we were going to HMB anyway for the party, we decided to spend the night there. We stayed at the Oceano Hotel & Spa, which just opened back in November. The hotel was amazing and I am glad we decided on this last minute indulgence. Though we weren't very far from home, it was still a nice getaway. The weather was great and we enjoyed a nice dinner outside at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and then went for a walk along the harbor.
Kevin was nice enough to drive a few miles to pick up McDonald's for breakfast since I really wanted some of their hash browns. We were so disappointed to discover that they forgot to pack them! On our way home, we stopped to see the tidepools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Hana got to throw rocks in the water and then we showed her some hermit crabs and sea anenomes. What a fun weekend we had!

Jumping Time

We were at a BBQ at church a couple of weeks ago and there was a bounce house. Hana headed right towards it and fearlessly jumped in. She had so much fun!! Hana held her own in there, even with boys much older than her. We were not surprised at all. Hana is a bold girl!!
We got such a kick out of watching her jump around. It made us want to get in too! Kevin has been talking about getting a small one for our yard but he hasn't convinced me......yet.

Happy Birthday!

We can't believe our baby girl is already two!
We actually celebrated for a couple of days since Auntie Joella came to visit.
Hana loved the presents and drawings from her cousins, Jaina & Timothy.
She was surprised to find that her new purse came filled with fruit snacks!
The pictures of her cake are a little blurry.
We didn't realized that Hana had left a fingerprint on the camera's lens
until after the pictures were taken!

We are looking forward to another year of watching Hana grow

and another year of our growth as parents.
