We typically spend New Year's Eve at the Crowne Plaza in downtown SF but didn't feel up to it this year. We didn't feel like staying at home either (especially with our broken heater). We had the last minute idea of spending the night at the Pacifica Beach Resort.
It is only ten minutes from home yet we still feel like we had a relaxing getaway. We also loved the opportunity to support local business. We had gorgeous views of Linda Mar Beach from our balcony.
A picture of Kevin & I that he took himself (4th try and we finally got both of our faces in the pic!)
We had a large shared balcony that Hana loved running on to go and see the 'wawa' (water)
The view was great and the sunset was spectacular that night.
One of the deciding reasons that we chose to spend NYE here was that each room has its own Jacuzzi! It was awesome and Hana had so much fun splashing around. However, it was so relaxing that Kevin & I fell asleep before midnight! (Hana looks a little overheated in this pic)
2007 was an eventful year! We rang in the new year with Hana and I both being really sick. Hana was not quite as sick as me but I spent all of New Year's Eve with some sort of stomach flu and could barely move for days. A few days later we took a trip to an awesome cabin on Tahoe's north shore with friends but days later, found ourselves in the ER with Kevin undergoing an emergency appendectomy that left him in bed for two weeks. A rough start but we still had a great year even though it was full of changes, including 3 ER visits for Kevin and 3 total job & health insurance changes between the both of us. In the mean time, Hana turned 1, learned to walk, started learning to talk and has developed into an amazingly fun little girl.
We can't wait to see what God has in store for us for 2008 and are ready for it all!!
